Using Common Shade in a 90-minute workshop

A shared picture first, then the felt experience of one worker’s week, then a plan with owners, money and triggers, and decisions recorded before people leave.

Tips for the facilitator

  • One person drives the screen; everyone else talks.
  • Use a real place the room knows, but keep the worker composite.
  • Record what is agreed, and what is only discussed. The plan’s status ladder does this.
  • Close by printing the plan, or copying it into the meeting notes.

Before the session

  • Choose the place the room knows best.
  • Open the map, the worker exercise and the plan in three tabs.
  • Check the projector shows small text clearly.
  • Decide who records what is agreed.
